DNs, filters, ADsPaths and PowerShell strings each escape differently. Paste a name in any form to get all of them. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you paste leaves your machine. The page's Content-Security-Policy also stops it from sending anything, which you can check in its source.
Paste a DN, a canonical name such as corp.example.com/Staff/Pat, a DNS domain, a UPN, DOMAIN\name, or a plain name to see how it must be escaped. DNs, ADsPaths, filters and PowerShell each escape differently, which is where most of the trouble comes from.
